We know that our products cost above average but that is because we believe in quality and supporting the local suppliers, artists, cosplayers, cmts and more. We are not a drop-ship store, almost everything in our store is created from scratch in South Africa, mostly in Cape Town.

That is why we often have longer lead times and higher prices.

With that said, we have just integrated Mobicred on our website for those that wish to use their facilities to place orders. We do have a minimum payment of R250. In order to use Mobicred, you have to spend 250 or more not including shipping.

And for our customers that do NOT have Mobicred, we have not forgotten about you. We know feeling good is important so we will not leave you hanging.

We are going to allow you to place orders via Email and pay your order in 2 split equal payments. There will be no interest added to your order.

BUT we do need to cover ourselves encase you change your mind. With the first payment, we will start your order, get fabric, go to print, etc. This will cost us money and if you are unable to complete the second payment we will not be able to refund you.

Once your second payment has been made, we will be able to complete and send your order to you.

All of this plays on your mind when you place an order for a special item and specifically these one of a kind anime garments. That is when it dawned on us, surely we could do something. Weebs will have what the Weebs want! We did some research and found the best quality we could in garments and then researched the best printing methods.

Once that was in place what was left was to make the weebs SIMP! The artwork is designed and drawn by The Engrave Slave team over a number of days with hours of research into the characters. (Another excuse to watch anime.) Once that is done we start working on setting up the PRINTS just for you.

DC Comics has done well with bringing such a hero to life. I know many women were wooing over Jason Momoa’s hunky body and manly look, but what really made me look forward to this movie was the sense of humour. In Justice League, I found the banter, short one-liners and fun action scenes with Aquaman on the Bat Mobile screaming “YEAH” rather fun and interesting and it drew me towards his character.

For some reason, I am always drawn to a good sense of humour and I am so glad that they carried it through in the Aquaman movie. But not only are the scenes grand and beautiful, but as an artist, I have to appreciate the blood sweat and tears that went into the creation of those scenes. I mean not only creating but the hours upon hours of rendering. Must have taken forever…

When films like this come out, I feel my creative mind start to run wild and I could not resist. A strong character deserves a mighty glass!

This glass took about 1.5 hours to 2 hours to create this masterpiece and was done freehand.
It is really one of our favourite pieces.

I hope that one day Jason Mamoa will visit South Africa, Cape Town to be exact so that I can gift this glass to him with a nice cold Guinness Beer.

When I found out that Ragnar Lothbrok was coming to Comic-Con Africa, I nearly died. I had no idea what to do with myself. That is when the cogs in my head started to spin and I realised I need to treat him to a special glass. Something he will never find or ever be given.

As Vikings love to drink I decided to create him his very own beer mug and give this to him. Of course, it was not without its challenges. Celebrities are well protected and there are rules on giving them gifts, but that was not going to stop me.

I booked my photo session with Travis Fimmel in the hopes I could give him my glass. I made sure that the glass was well packed and prepped for the handover. The only thing I did not realise is that the photos were so fast and that he does not have time to chat or to even open a gift. This made me a little sad, to be honest. But I got a nice big hug and a thank you and a photo with my sister-in-law and good friend Stephen Spinas who also managed to give Travis Fimmel a drawing he had done.

It was such a fun experience but now all I had was a photo and no signature on the image at all. I did not realise that these were separate bookings.

Perhaps this was for the best. On Sunday I managed to sneak away from our stall and pop down to the signing and waited for Travis Fimmel to arrive.

Finally, he arrived and we were all over the moon, but sadly he had to run off to an interview. But the managers noticed me and so did he and they called me to the front. They remembered me even out of cosplay. He was so excited about the glass. He loved it and had already had some drinks out of it already. I was overjoyed with the fact that he loved the glass and he had already started to use it. I stole another big hug and a very sneaky selfie.

He was such a kind person and so today I am grateful that he appreciates gifts from his fans – it takes a humble soul to take the time to thank people for the effort they put into a gift.
