Aquaman The Movie: A Review
DC Comics has done well with bringing such a hero to life. I know many women were wooing over Jason Momoa’s hunky body and manly look, but what really made me look forward to this movie was the sense of humour. In Justice League, I found the banter, short one-liners and fun action scenes with Aquaman on the Bat Mobile screaming “YEAH” rather fun and interesting and it drew me towards his character.
For some reason, I am always drawn to a good sense of humour and I am so glad that they carried it through in the Aquaman movie. But not only are the scenes grand and beautiful, but as an artist, I have to appreciate the blood sweat and tears that went into the creation of those scenes. I mean not only creating but the hours upon hours of rendering. Must have taken forever…
When films like this come out, I feel my creative mind start to run wild and I could not resist. A strong character deserves a mighty glass!
It is really one of our favourite pieces.
I hope that one day Jason Mamoa will visit South Africa, Cape Town to be exact so that I can gift this glass to him with a nice cold Guinness Beer.
